Lauren T. Skildum
Lauren Skildum is an associate attorney at WFJ and practices in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Commercial Collection, Construction and Employment Law. Lauren represents industrial and construction material suppliers, helping both small and large businesses collect their receivables and enforce their contracts, utilizing the resources of WFJ and its affiliated law firms around the world.
Lauren shows compassion and works diligently to solve her clients’ legal issues. She is a problem solver and proactively manages risk no matter where the issue arises. Lauren commonly assists her business clients on human resources, entity formation, governance, succession, and other issues of importance. She has experience in assisting clients in revising employee handbooks, drafting form credit applications and purchase agreement documents as well as revising on-boarding and off-boarding protocols for employees.
Lauren has been committed to helping businesses since early on in her career, when she participated in the Business Law Clinic at William Mitchell College of Law. Lauren served as Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Bernard E. Borene, District Court Judge for the Third Judicial District from 2008-2010. Before joining WFJ, Lauren advocated in the family law arena with a Minneapolis law firm.
Lauren is a cum laude graduate of the William Mitchell College of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and earned her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.
When not at work, Lauren can be found exploring nature with her children. She is an avid international traveler and enjoys cooking just about anything with her husband.
