Andrew W.R. Nielsen
Andrew W.R. Nielsen is an associate attorney of our On-Call Consultants team. Andrew has a broad legal background. In his role with the On-Call Consultants team, he consults with our clients on various areas of law including employment, real estate, business transactions, estate planning, landlord/tenant, collections, civil litigation, and consumer finance. In addition, Andrew has extensive litigation experience, having worked as a special prosecutor for the State of Wisconsin. His generalist scope of knowledge, combined with his extensive litigation experience, provides our clients with a valuable resource in proactive risk management to avoid potential issues and, where necessary, the litigation experience to react when litigation is a client’s only option. He is a strong advocate for our clients, yet his easygoing demeanor allows him to relate to clients on a personal level.
In addition, Andrew works closely with our Small Business clients through our On-Call Consultants team regarding their employment law issues. He advises clients on all aspects of employment law, including hiring, discipline, termination, wage and hour, and implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
During law school, Andrew was involved in the Christian Legal Society and the International Law Club. He also worked with the Prosecution Project and the Neighborhood Law Clinic, an organization which represents underserved populations in Landlord/Tenant and Government Benefit cases. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and his law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
