Alyssa L. Jones
Alyssa Leigh Jones joined Wagner, Falconer, & Judd as an attorney in June 2018. Prior to her transition, Alyssa worked for Appelman Law Firm in St. Louis Park, Minnesota where she was a criminal trial lawyer for two years. Prior to passing the Minnesota State Bar Examination in February 2016, she served as a law clerk to Appelman Law Firm. Alyssa is admitted to practice in the State of Minnesota, United States District of Minnesota Federal Court, and Washington District of Columbia. Alyssa is a member of the Federalist Society, Minnesota State Bar Association, Minnesota Women’s Lawyers, Minnesota Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Washington District of Columbia Bar Association.
Alyssa graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in January 2016 after two and a half years of education. While in law school, Alyssa was a Student Attorney for the 1st District of Minnesota Public Defenders Office and for the William Mitchell-based Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners clinic, where she focused on helping indigent prisoners with civil and criminal issues. Alyssa also volunteered over 120 hours of pro bono legal services through the Minnesota Justice Foundation. Law school also gave Alyssa the opportunity to study abroad in London, United Kingdom under the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, John G. Roberts.
Prior to law school, Alyssa received dual Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and History with dual minors in Communication and International Studies from Alderson Broaddus University in Philippi, West Virginia. While at Alderson Broaddus, Alyssa spent a semester in Salzburg, Austria studying European History and International Communication.
